What is Physiotherapy?

Physiotherapy is a health profession that effectively provides treatment to relieve inflammation and pain, restore mobility and education and guidance to improve strength and function.Physiotherapy also involves YOU – the patient.  We ensure that you are engaged in the treatment and have a voice in how to navigate your road to recovery.

Managing Pain & Mobility With Physiotherapy

Physiotherapy is a vital link to recovery from many injuries and conditions such as whiplash, muscle strains, joint sprains, back pain, pregnancy related muscle and joint issues, and vertigo. We are also a key player in the medical teams required for effective management of persistent conditions like arthritis and chronic pain.

Effective pain relief begins with understanding your condition and the source of the pain. Treatments are individualized for each patient, as injuries and medical histories vary. We do not apply a “one-size fits all” approach to rehabilitation. Your age, physical ability, mobility, range of motion, and injury all play a major factor in the appropriate treatment action. Your physiotherapist will create a customized rehabilitation program based on the above and our findings during our diagnostic process.
